Two of the three participants are proud alumni of MusicTT’s Spotlight programme.  Spotlight alumni Aisha Noel and Jiselle Singer will be joining fellow T&T artiste Dania Duntin, at the showcase which will be streaming live via YouTube on September 18th from 8 PM.

The 2nd Edition of the Caribbean Rhythm Showcase (CRS) will feature 20 finalists representing 13 countries and 7 genres such as Soca, Caribbean Fusion, Afro Beats, Caribbean Pop, Dancehall, Reggae and Neo Soul beats. The CRS aims to give fledging artistes the opportunity to showcase their talents, gain greater experience and create opportunities to collaborate with other regional musicians and generate international interest.

Spotlight alum, Aisha Noel is a multi-genre singer, songwriter, performer and musician with a passion for the performing arts. Starting her professional music career in 2018, Aisha was one of the winners in the official “Uncovered Live” showcase. Her own show, Aisha Uncovered Live, at Kaiso Blues Cafe was a tremendous success. Within that same year, the determined songstress released her first production entitled, “Nobody be Safe” a dancehall/soca infused track produced by the Ballistik Boyz. It then came as no surprise that within 2019, Aisha released her first Soca Single, “Soca Fever (Baile)” produced by 2020 Road March and Soca Monarch winning producer, Bjorn Graham. Aisha’s song spear heads the, “Hello Bacchannal Riddim”, alongside artistes, Orlando Octave, 5Star Akil, Ricardo Drue and Fadda Fox. Aisha speaks of love as a major inspiration in her work which keeps her motivated to accomplish her goals.

Jiselle Singer

Inhabiting her truth through Afro-soul mixed with a smooth urban sound, Spotlight alum, Jiselle, is the Trinidadian singer turning up the heat in the music industry. Since her first release “Sleeping Angels” in February 2018, she has become a social media sensation locally and continues to lead a growing community of followers who support her work. She continues to be a radiant star transforming the musical horizon.

Dania Duntin

Dania Duntin is a Singer-Songwriter who is passionate about creating music, and travelling to learn about the different cultures of the world and her ultimate goal is to impact the world in a positive way by creating real change. She was recently one of the top 17 finalists for the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago pageant and her goal is to inspire young girls to be more confident in themselves; overcome anxieties, pressures and fears; and understand that they are never alone.

“I am very proud of these three ladies, as well as the cadre of T&T acts to grace the virtual Caribbean Rhythm Showcase in 2021. To be 3 of 20 acts from all over the Caribbean is in no way a small feat as I’m certain there were many more applicants. I hope they are proud of themselves and continue working hard toward fulfilling their musical goals. We look forward to continuing to support them, and all local artistes, at all levels, where we can.” Melissa Jimenez, General Manager, MusicTT.

The Spotlight Programme seeks to identify artistes and instrumentalists who have the potential to advance in the music industry and equips them with the knowledge and tools to leverage their creative talent in the local and worldwide market.
