TRAFFICKED at the Zanzibar International Film Festival

tr Trafficked, the award winning local film, a co-production between Eye On Dependency and Quirky Films, screens at the prestigious Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) in July. Trafficked is based on a true story told on the award-winning radio programme Eye on Dependency and the film has now become a teaching medium to warn persons about the dangers and risks inherent in the vicious trade of drugs and humans.

ZIFF, which runs from July 9th – July 17th 2016,  is an annual multi disciplinary arts and cultural festival held in Stone Town, Zanzibar. The festival is an all-arts affair, with 8 days of local and international discussion panels, workshops, 10 days of screenings of the best international cinema and evenings of musical concerts. ZIFF  is arguably the largest multi disciplinary art and cultural festival in Africa, and continues to lead as a tourist attraction event in the region.

Hodgkinson’s previous films’ “A Story About Wendy” screened at the festival in 2013, and its sequel, “A Story About Wendy 2,” had its World Premiere at ZIFF 2014.
