TRAFFICKED, a film by award-winning director Sean Hodgkinson has been accepted into the Caribbean Tales International Film Festival. This festival will be the Canadian premiere of the film.
“This is our fourteenth laurel and we still can’t believe how much success we’ve had,” Hodgkinson said. “We would like to thank the Caribbean Tales International Film Festival for selecting us and also send a huge congratulations to the other films selected.”
The Caribbean Tales International Film Festival takes place September 7th to 17th in Toronto, Canada.
“We are really proud that a Caribbean based film organization like Caribbean Tales has selected us,” actress Kia Rollock said. “I think we all want to build better interaction with our brothers and sisters in the diaspora and Caribbean Tales has really opened the door to that.”
TRAFFICKED has been an official selection of the trinidad +tobago film festival where it won the award for Best Local Feature Film, the International Festival of new Latin American Cinema, the Pan African Arts and Film Festival, the World Festival of Emerging Cinema, Festival International du Film PanAfricain de Cannes, the Cayman International Film Festival, the Festival de Cine Global Dominicano, the Bahamas International Film Festival, the International Film Festival for Family, Against Drug Abuse and Trafficking (IFFADAT) the New voices in Black Cinema Festival, the Martinique International Film Festival and the San Francisco Black Film Festival where it won Best Foreign Feature.
