Notice of Cancellation – Caribbean Film Festival and Mart (CFFM)

Release from CaribbeanTales:

Dear Filmmakers and Film Enthusiasts:

We regret to announce that we at CaribbeanTales have been informed that, due to a reorganization of national priorities in The Bahamas, the decision has been taken by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to cancel the Caribbean Film Festival and Market (CFFM) which was slated to take place November 2-5, 2017 on Grand Bahama Island.

Two months ago, as a partner on the CFFM, CaribbeanTales publicized a call for submissions.  We thank you for the enthusiasm you expressed in being a part of CFFM.

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism would like to express their sincere apology for this unexpected turn of events.

The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean is proud of the rich filmmaking talent evidenced in the productions that so many of you submitted. The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism looks forward to another occasion, in the not too distant future, to stage a film festival and market to showcase the cinematic prowess of filmmakers such as yourselves.

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism wishes all of you the very best in your creative endeavors.
