T&T Premier Venues Presenters

Port of Spain, April 19 2024: The Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (MusicTT) is proud to announce the upcoming “T&T Premier Venues” live webinar, set to take place virtually on Thursday, May 2nd 2024, at 4:30 PM AST to highlight some of Trinidad and Tobago’s premier event venues. This webinar is a significant step towards promoting the country as a top destination for hosting a diverse range of events, both locally and internationally.

Following fruitful engagements at the 2024 International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) conference, Melissa Jimenez, General Manager of MusicTT, has forged connections with over 500 international event producers, some of which have expressed a keen interest in bringing their events to Trinidad and Tobago. Not only will that encourage foreign exchange but many of the artistic pieces also require local participation which helps to foster an enabling environment towards cultural exchange, professional development, and artistic development. Building on this momentum, MusicTT has actively collaborated with large-capacity, key venue stakeholders across the country over the past two months.

In meetings with the General Managers of leading venues such as the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA), Naparima Bowl, Queen’s Hall, and Shaw Park, MusicTT has expressed mutual interests and explored potential collaborations. These discussions have revealed a shared aspiration among venue managers to promote the resources and opportunities available at their venues to both local and international audiences.

“It is evident from our meetings that there is a collective desire among venue managers to showcase the capabilities of their venues to a wider audience,” said Melissa Jimenez, General Manager of MusicTT. “The T&T Premier Venues Webinar presents a unique opportunity to spotlight these venues and demonstrate why Trinidad and Tobago is an ideal destination for hosting exceptional music events. I particularly love that many of the pieces that the international organizations desire to stage are highly collaborative providing opportunities not only for revenue generation by local artists but also for cultural exchange, networking and professional development of their craft. ”

The webinar will feature presentations from representatives of NAPA, SAPA, Naparima Bowl, Queen’s Hall and Shaw Park, and offer insights into the facilities, amenities, and services available for event hosting. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the diverse opportunities offered by these venues, from state-of-the-art performance spaces to scenic outdoor settings, and explore collaboration opportunities with MusicTT and International organizations.

“We are excited to collaborate with our venue partners to showcase the wealth of opportunities available for event organizers and planners in Trinidad and Tobago,” added Jimenez. “Through this webinar, we aim to promote collaboration, foster partnerships, and elevate Trinidad and Tobago’s profile as a premier event destination.”

Join us on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 at 4:30 PM AST, for an engaging virtual experience highlighting Trinidad and Tobago’s premier venues and the endless possibilities for hosting extraordinary events in the Caribbean.
