MusicTT General Manager

Creative Consultant, Fulbright Scholar and Arts Administrator, Melissa Jimenez, graduated from Colombia College Chicago with a Master’s degree in Arts, Media and Entertainment Management; she has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Arts from the University of the West Indies as well as holds several Certificates from an array of universities in Events Management, Music (Steelpan), Initiating and Planning Projects, Budgeting and Scheduling Projects; and Personal Branding.  

Melissa is passionate about helping others and has worked with several NGO’s. Most notably – KIND – Kids in Need of Direction as their Marketing Manager, she has served as the Director of Partner Relations with VCTT – Volunteer Center of Trinidad and Tobago and worked in many roles volunteering with Must Come See Productions. 

Melissa is currently the General Manager of the Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited (MusicTT), a state-owned agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry where she is responsible for steering the business development and export activity of the music sector.  

She says, “I want the world to see the Caribbean as not only an ideal vacation destination but know us for our explosive talent and admirable cultural diversity.”
