Creative Industries Showcased on CreativeTT’s Award-Winning Blog

The Trinidad and Tobago Creative Industries Company Limited (CreativeTT) is pleased to announce that our corporate blog featuring the stakeholders and activities of the local creative industries has won a 2016 MarCom Platinum Award, a highly renowned, international award offered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals. Launched in December 2015, CreativeTT’s blog seeks to increase public awareness of and loyalty for Trinidad and Tobago’s music, film and fashion products. Articles are posted weekly on projects spearheaded by CreativeTT and its subsidiaries – MusicTT, FilmTT and FashionTT – as well as stakeholder events and activities taking placing in each of these industries. This platform continues to be one of the more successful communications channels used by CreativeTT and currently has 627 subscribers that comprises local audiences as well as members of the diaspora in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe. To date, 59 articles on the creative industries have been written and posted with more than 18,500 persons visiting the site. Each subsidiary company is represented by its own sub-page that houses articles specific to their respective industries. Some of the more popular articles posted on CreativeTT’s blog thus far are:

Mr. Calvin Bijou, newly-appointed Chairman of CreativeTT, was pleased at this accomplishment and values its importance for the company and the creative industries. Upon congratulating CreativeTT’s Marketing and Communications team, he also explained, “This is an international acknowledgement and recognition of our ability to embrace international standards and maintain our cultural identity. I am proud of all who contributed to this achievement.” MarCom Awards recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communication materials and programs. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers all over the world. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. MarCom is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious creative competitions in the world. It is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), a 22-year-old international organization consisting of several thousand creative professionals.
